01A chef knife with a hinge in it · 12 pieces
Twelve folding blades in santoku, nakiri and chef shapes, built to travel to a campsite and back.
A folding chef knife is a strange object until you have cooked away from a kitchen. The blade is a proper santoku or nakiri shape rather than a penknife, and it folds into its own handle so it travels in a bag without a sheath and without cutting anything on the way. Campsites, boats, holiday rentals with a drawer full of butter knives: those are the situations these exist for.
The part to check is the lock, not the blade. A folder is a knife with a hinge in it, and the hinge has to hold against the back of the edge under load, not merely against spring tension. Everything on this page locks. The other honest limitation is cleaning: a pivot traps water and food where you cannot see it, so a folding knife wants opening, rinsing and drying open rather than a quick wipe.

03Asked before ordering
What people ask us about folding pocket knives before they pick one.
For vegetables, boneless meat and everything a camp kitchen asks, yes, because the blade is a full chef shape and it locks open. What you should not do with it is anything that loads the spine sideways, because that is what a hinge is worst at.
Open it, wash the blade and the pivot, and leave it open to dry. Water sits in a hinge where you cannot see it, and on a carbon blade that is where rust starts. A drop of food-safe oil in the pivot once in a while keeps the action smooth.
Not in hand luggage. Rules differ by country and by airline, but a locking blade of this size is checked baggage everywhere, and the sensible habit is to pack it in the case with the sheath or the box it came in.
One button, the whole Huusk range
Every blade length, steel and piece count in the Huusk catalogue sits behind this button, with the current price beside it. Pick the job, check the blade against the board you own, and it ships from our retail partner.
